Justin Fields

Justin Fields got a taste of his first NFL action today in the preseason, and his play had LeBron James absolutely hyped up.

Fields and the Chicago Bears took the field agains the Miami Dolphins in their preseason game, and the Bears rookie got plenty of playing time. The Bears would hang on to win 20-13 and Fields was definitely the best quarterback on the field from both sides.

Chicago is hoping that Fields can solve their decade long problems at the quarterback position after trading up to draft him at number 11 overall in the 2021 NFL draft.

Fields looked good in his first preseason action, but it’s too early to tell if the same will carry over during the regular season, but for right now Bears fans, and even LeBron James, are absolutely excited.

Justin Fields Had LeBron James Losing It During Bears NFL Preseason Game

Justin Fields has absolutely taken over the hearts of Chicago fans. Years of terrible to mediocre quarterback play will do that to you, but it looks like Fields has some support from perhaps the best player in the NBA right now.

LeBron tweeted this out during the Bears-Dolphins preseason game:

How well did Justin Fields do? Really well. He finished the game passing a very solid 14/20 for 142 yards and a passing touchdown. Showing off his dual-threat ability, Fields also ran five times for 33 yards and one rushing touchdown.

He was doing it all for the Bears:

While it is easy to overreact to a preseason game, Fields’ strong showing sets up well for the Chicago Bears. If he continues to play this way, the Bears may have to consider starting him earlier than they might have planned.
