The Chicago Bears look to have found a stud in QB Justin Fields. And even though HC Matt Nagy is adamant that Fields will not start Week 1, Fields has already impressed the team to win the backup job over Nick Foles. And his work ethic is only restoring the Bears’ faith in him.

Justin Fields is already making himself a Chicago native. He was seen at Wrigley Field in Chicago Cubs gear for their first game at 100 percent capacity and was friendly with a lot of Cubs legends, bringing supreme delight to the greater portion of the city. And all of this is even before he’s had the opportunity to throw a single training camp snap.

And Justin Fields is only impressing his team more and more with his attitude and work ethic.
Justin Fields plans to report 2 weeks before training camp.
Justin Fields knows he won’t be the team’s Week 1 starter barring injury to current QB1 Andy Dalton. And that only added to his drive to work harder at his skillset. To get ready, Fields says there will be no days off between the end of mandatory minicamp and training camp.
“For me, if I go a day without getting better in one way, whether it’s mentally, physically, I feel lazy and I feel like I’m not doing enough to accomplish what I accomplish,” Fields said. “For me, personally, I have to do something football-related, whether it’s studying my plays for 45 minutes, an hour, or working out, I have to do something to feel like I’m being productive because I love to feel like I’m being productive and I don’t like feeling like I’m being lazy because that’s one thing that I can control is my work ethic. So I like to do something every day just to have that peace of mind knowing that I’m getting better each and every day.”
Justin Fields said he plans to report with the Bears two weeks before training camp, allowing him to train locally and keep working on the playbook.
Said Fields: “I want to get better. … When that time comes when I do get my chance, I just want to be ready for that moment.”

Fields will be an important presence in the locker room regardless of his position in the starting line-up. So it should be very interesting if and when Justin Fields will take over the reins as the Bears QB of the future.
