Mike McCarthy Apologizes After Causing Social Media Outrage With His ‘Cameraman Pushing’ Shenanigans Post Divisional Playoff Defeat

Sunday night marked the progression of two teams to their conference championship. It also marked the end of two teams’ NFL season. The Cowboys took on the 49ers while the Bengals played the Bills. In both action-packed games, the most talented lot of the NFL was in action. Eventually, the Bengals and the 49ers made it to the next round. The Cowboys, who were a top contender for this year’s Superbowl, bowed out and head coach, Mike McCarthy was visibly pissed.

After cutting Tom Brady’s season short, the Cowboys, high on confidence, took on the 49ers who have been a problem for the oppositions all season long. Looking to replicate their efforts from last week and continue their momentum, the Cowboys were hopeful of another playoff dub. However, Dak Prescott and his boys fell off.

All Round poor day for Mike McCarthy

The game ended 19-12 for the San Francisco team as they contained Dak Prescott to just one touchdown. They even picked Prescott twice during the game. As America’s team went down in the closely fought battle, a lot of questions came up about Coach Mike McCarthy’s tactics. McCarthy called some questionable plays in key moments during the game. These could have been key in determining the end result of the game. 

Though there is no video footage of the incident, there was an image that went viral. Coach McCarthy vented out his frustrations and anger on what seemed like a cameraman after the game. While his mood was justified, there was no reason for McCarthy to put his hands on the ground staff in that manner. This unacceptable behavior by a sports professional was quick to catch eyeballs on the internet too. NFL fans poured out their comments on this incident.
