NFL Free Agents 2023: Tom Brady, Lamar Jackson Headline A Strong Free Agency Class

Tom Brady, Lamar Jackson, and some other big-name players will hit the market this offseason, and the most important questions after the Super Bowl will be where they go.

Right now, we’re in the thick of the playoffs, with the divisional round taking place, but the teams who aren’t in the postseason are already thinking ahead to the offseason.

While the NFL draft is the first thing on anyone’s platter, teams will scheme their draft strategy around which free agents they think they can target and sign.

While many free agents will choose to re-sign with their own team, several others will be looking to jump ship. It’s unclear right now as to where some of the bigger names will land, but those questions will sort themselves out as the weeks continue and the offseason starts.

For now, it’s simply worth it to take a look at which players are free agents that are going to be available for the 2023 free agent market.

NFL Free Agents 2023: Tom Brady, Lamar Jackson, and others headline an incredible market

Here’s a list of the top 50 free agents in this class (not ranked in any particular order):

  1. Lamar Jackson
Jackson is one of the most prized quarterbacks in this class, if not the most prized quarterback. He is young, an MVP, and he has shown that he can lead a team to the promise land. Baltimore will do everything it can to bring him back, but if not, he’ll have no shortage of options.
  2. Tom Brady
Brady is Brady. There’s no selling point needed for him. However, he’s also old, and last season, he simply wasn’t as effective. Which team will want to gamble on him for a chance at a Super Bowl ring? Trouble in Tampa has incited conversations that Brady could leave.
  3. Geno Smith
Geno Smith put in a campaign for the ages. He revived his career, and in the process, set a Seahawks single-season passing record. For a team looking to bridge a gap at quarterback, or even just find a solid starting option, Geno has proven that he can be the guy if necessary.
  4. Orlando Brown
  5. Saquon Barkley
  6. Josh Jacobs
  7. Javon Hargrave
  8. Jessie Bates III
  9. Lavonte David
  10. Jamal Dean
  11. Jakoby Myers
  12. Daniel Jones
  13. Jimmy Garoppolo
  14. Marcus Davenport
  15. James Bradberry
  16. Patrick Peterson
  17. Kaleb McGarey
  18. Jadeveon Clowney
  19. Dalvin Tomlinson
  20. Jordan Poyer
  21. Mecole Hardman
  22. Juju Smith-Schuster
  23. Allen Lazard
  24. Tony Pollard
  25. Fletcher Cox
  26. Teddy Bridgewater
  27. Baker Mayfield
  28. Nelson Agholor
  29. Bradley Roby
  30. Evan Engram
  31. Devin McCourty
  32. Randall Cobb
  33. Akiem Hicks
  34. Case Keenum
  35. Kareem Hunt
  36. Julio Jones
  37. Devin Bush
  38. Marcus Peters
  39. Brandon Graham
  40. Yannick Ngakoue
  41. Mike Gesicki
  42. Robert Quinn
  43. George Fant
  44. Sam Darnold
  45. Austin Hooper
  46. Jacoby Brissett
  47. Cameron Sutton
  48. Byron Pringle
  49. Mason Crosby
  50. Melvin Ingram

Brady and Lamar Jackson are going to be the biggest names people watch out for this year with no real certainty about where either player will go. However, reports are indicating that the Ravens are working towards a long-term deal with Jackson, securing their future with the MVP.
