Julio Jones’ trade to Tennessee started the conversation on who the best wide receiver duo is in the NFL. AJ Brown and Julio Jones might be atop the list for many analysts. But Jarvis Landry had a different answer.

Julio Jones made headlines after the Falcons traded him to the Tennessee Titans. A couple of years ago, Odell Beckham made similar headlines after the Giants traded the wideout to the Cleveland Browns. So OBJ paired up with Jarvis Landry definitely makes the Browns receiving core elite.

Jarvis Landry thinks he and Odell Beckham are the best WR duo in the NFL

The NFL has moved towards a pass-first league which has given rise to multiple loaded WR duos across the league. D.K Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen, Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, AJ Brown and Julio Jones, Amari Cooper and Ceedee Lamb all have compelling cases to be the best duo in the entire league.

But Jarvis Landry had a different duo in mind. When asked about his No. 1 wideout pairing earlier today, Cleveland Browns wideout Jarvis Landry had a definitive answer: it’s Odell Beckham Jr. and himself.

The Odell Beckham experiment hasn’t worked perfectly yet. But both his and Jarvis Landry’s elite skill sets will fit in sooner or later in the Browns system. In their first NFL season together back in 2019, Landry and Beckham combined for 2,209 yards and 10 touchdowns. Both of them had 1,000+ yards seasons in 2019 but couldn’t replicate the same in 2020 after Beckham’s injury in week 7 injury.

The duo has been a terror for defenses ever since their college days. Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry both played 3 years at LSU. Both Beckham and Landry caught over 1,000+ yards in their junior year and were drafted in the 2014 NFL draft.

Taking the second half-year to rehab and recover, Beckham is on track to return to the field by the start of the 2021 season. The duo has 8 Pro Bowls among them and 14 years of NFL experience. It should be very interesting to see the Browns receivers in 2021.
