Aaron Rodgers is one of the finest quarterbacks in the competition at the moment. However, after winning back to back MVP honors, he failed to take his unit to the playoffs this season.

In fact, he had started off so poorly that fans and experts were asking the Packers to bench him and play Jordan Love instead. However, the management decided to continue with Aaron and it turned out to be the right call.
Rodgers guided his unit from a dead and buried situation to a scenario from where they had a legitimate shot at making the playoffs. However, they couldn’t get past Detroit in their season finale and were hence eliminated.
As soon as the contest ended, speculations regarding Aaron’s future in the league started spreading at a rapid pace. In order to provide some clarity about it, Aaron recently made an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show.
Pat McAfee defends Aaron Rodgers’ MVP comments
However, as it often happens, Aaron ended up facing a lot of criticism for what he said about his playing abilities. “Can I play at a high level? Yeah, the highest. I think I can win MVP again in the right situation. Is that Green Bay or is that somewhere else? I’m not sure,” the star QB had claimed on the show.
As soon as these comments went viral, innumerable experts and broadcasters started doing segments about Aaron being rather selfish in his approach as he is focussing on winning league MVP title instead of thinking about winning the Lombardi Trophy.
Even renowned Tight End Rob Gronkowski looked unimpressed with Aaron’s words. In an appearance on ‘Up & Adams Show,’ Gronk stated that the Packers QB should talk about winning Super Bowls and not league MVP honors.
Replying to all the hullabaloo caused by Aaron’s comments, Pat McAfee recently stated that the Rodgers’ comments are being taken out of the context. “He(Aaron) was only talking about how well he can play at his old a** fu*king age which is kinda being missed in this whole thing,” Pat stated.
He then went on to add that this how life actually is for Aaron Rodgers. Although Pat admired the experts who agreed that Aaron’s comments were taken out of context, he came down heavily on the people who are always on the look out to show it to the whole world how big of an ‘a**hole’ Aaron is.
