Johnson’s selection that early in the draft didn’t actually come as a surprise as the early boomer, who won the Anthony Muñoz Award in 2019 while he was at Princeton High School, worked immensely hard on himself and also got a lot of incredible genes from his father, Paris Johnson Sr., who was also a fantastic footballer in his days.

Paris Johnson Sr. was actually selected by the cardinals in the 1999 draft. After featuring for the Arizona-based franchise for one season, he went on to be a part of the practice squads of the Dolphins, Panthers, as well as the Cowboys. Paris then decided to spend some time away from football after not excelling as much as he would have wanted to in the NFL. However, by joining the NFLPA’s coaching internship program after an eight year break from the game, he again ended up getting close to his favorite sport.
In addition to this, Paris’ mother Monica has also played a massive role in her son’s success. In fact, Johnson had revealed a while ago that in order to get him into the Ohio State college, she even sold her house. Monica even decided to quit her job in order to support her in son in his football endeavors. Without a doubt, she would be super proud of what her son has now achieved.

As far as the Cardinals are concerned, they really struggled to get going last season. So Paris will have his task cut out as soon as he steps in Arizona which will also be a massive opportunity for him to show the world what he is capable of.
