In a 2021 interview, Mahomes revealed how his love story with Whataburger began. He had a sense of Texas pride in him while he was recalling the old times when he used to babysit his brother.

And Whataburger is kind of at the forefront of that,” Mahomes said referring to one of The Onion‘s parodies. “I’ve always ate Whataburger since I was a little kid. And then when I got older, I’d babysit my brother, and there was a Whataburger literally down the street. And we would always grab that and kind of have that while my mom was working.”

Additionally, it is no secret that Patrick Mahomes is a geek when it comes to Ketchup. However, it is a lesser-known fact that his favorite ketchup is the one just made by Whataburger.

Patrick Mahomes opened his first Whataburger location in November 2021.
