Peter Schrager Hilariously Mimics “Drunk” Tom Brady’s Wobbly Walk, as the QB' s Former Teammate Explains What Makes the 7x SB Champ Different

Tom Brady drastically changed his lifestyle when he moved from New England to Tampa Bay. Especially the strictness in his routine while working with Bill Belichick. One could argue that the routine helped him win six Super Bowls. However, that did not stop Brady from letting loose after winning Super Bowl LV in his debut season with the Buccaneers. He even had to be hauled off a boat after getting drunk!

TB12’s career after winning the Super Bowl went downhill—especially last season, where he recorded career-low stats, after deciding to unretire. In the wake of the horrid season and his divorce, Brady decided to hang up his cleat for good earlier this year. Though, it seems his presence still inspires players on the roster. Especially Leonard Fournette, on whom Brady had a profound impact.

Leonard Fournette recalls Bucs’ celebration after winning Super Bowl LV

During an appearance on ‘Good Morning Football’, Leonard Fournette talked about the boat parade the Bucs had for winning Super Bowl LV. Fournette said, “It was crazy to see him enjoy”. Fournette was referring to Brady getting sloshed during the parade, while the host Peter Schrager went ahead and hilariously enacted how Brady was helped off the boat that day.

Fournett also talked about the pre-game speech from Brady as they prepared for Super Bowl LV. Getting a pep talk from someone who has won the Super Bowl 6 times had a massive impact on the players, according to Fournette. He said the entire team took it very seriously, and it seems Brady’s words still have a place in their minds, especially Fournette’s.

“His pre-game speech was legendary, you know? He didn’t drop that many f-bombs, but, ‘this is about your last name being remembered’, you know? And you just joining a fraternity for life, being a Super Bowl winner… I mean he’s won six of them, so he knows what he’s talking about. And he knows what it would take, but just the preparation you see from him throughout the week… it’s second to none,” says Fournette.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers are looking to rebuild after Tom Brady retired

With TB12‘s departure, the Buccaneers are being forced to take a deeper look at their roster. What’s more, it seems a rebuild is incoming for the team. With Baker Mayfield joining the offense, the Bucs will need to put up a team that he can lead. However, the general sense in th camp is positive. Especially about Mayfield, on whom the Bucs are pinning a lot of hope.

ESPN’s Jeff Darlington says Mayfield is on track to be the Bucs’ starter. He says, “In general, we’re hearing the words that have been used to describe Baker Mayfield since the start of his career. The positive ones, like moxie and leadership. And those are the things so far in Tampa it feels like could earn him the starting job. There is no determination on who the starter will be in this quarterback competition. But at this point, it does feel that Baker is imposing himself over the competition.”

However, Mayfield’s success will come at a heavy price for the Bucs. If Mayfield beats third-year QB Kyle Trask, it would mean that the Bucs still need to hunt for a franchise QB. Mayfield’s contract is set for a single year, which does not help the Bucs. A long-term solution is necessary. Will the Bucs get their hands on a talented youngster anytime soon? Or are their struggles here to stay for the foreseeable future?
