Rob Gronkowski is a pure soul who loves to give back to society and his people. This habit was inculcated in him since childhood, with his mother Diane Walters, nurturing the four-time Super Bowl champ and his other siblings going pro in their respective careers. Recently, the 62-year-old roasted his son for not giving her a shout-out during the NFL interviews, something similar to his pal Tom Brady, who often remembers his mother post-football games.

It has been a bumpy ride for Walters, raising five Chad boys and making their names in the American sports fraternity. She spent almost her entire life, molding, feeding, and training them to become good human beings. Hence she deserves great public appreciation, especially from her son, who engraved his identity in the NFL record books.
Rob Gronkowski gets roasted by his mother
The mother of five was accompanied by her lovely son, Rob, for a funny interaction with Kay Admas on FanDuel TV. The duo spoke about various stories from their current and the past, including the veteran’s upcoming birthday on May 14. He will turn 34, and all that Diane could think of were the sacrifices she made in nurturing him to be a big giant.
Meanwhile, she pointed out that she deserves a little more appreciation, at least a shoutout from Gronk during his NFL interviews. She referred to Tom Brady’s post-game media attractions, where he says “Hi Mom”. Diane wanted to have something similar but never got one.

“Tom Brady would always just sneak there really like doing a serious interview after the game, and he would go ‘hi mom’ and walk away. Why don’t you do that? I think he may have gone a bunch or twice that I could miss because it was like in an interview or something after the game,” Diane Walters said in the interview.
Gronkowski refused to acknowledge these claims and said he had tried multiple times, but she was always present for every NFL game. “I did it but you weren’t watching on TV anymore because you were at all my games here in Tampa,” he added.
Gronk’s mother spent all her money on feeding her kids
34-year-old Gronk was brought up in a competitive background, along with four other siblings who flourished in their athletic careers. Major credit to his mom, who treated everyone equally and gave them the best opportunity to grow.
“For a long time, there was no furniture in the living room or the dining room,” Diane said in an interaction, per Lisa Maxbauer of Yahoo Sports. “All our money was going to feed the kids. I learned it was possible to be lonely while never being alone,” she added.
Indeed, these sacrifices came to fruition after Gronkowski went down as one of the greatest Tight Ends ever to grace the sport. While he is willing to flourish in his broadcasting gig, the veteran has the full support of his mom, wishing him the best of luck for his future aspirations.
