Tom Brady may have had himself the most fun this offseason when he was drunk and chucking the Lombardi Trophy instead of being freezing cold in Boston.

How does that kind of a Super Bowl celebration compare to the ones up in New England? Well, it was definitely warmer for one. Brady recently appeared on LeBron James’ ‘The Shop and spoke about a variety of topics. Of course, his most interesting one was about a mystery team that seemed to ditch him last year.
However, listening to him talk about how he was able to unwind after the Super Bowl in Tampa Bay compared to New England was pretty insightful.

Tom Brady Jokes About New England’s Cold Weather During Super Bowl Parades On LeBron James’ ‘The Shop’
Brady had a wildly different experience celebrating his Super Bowl ring this year than he has in the past. The weather in New England at this time is often frigid, leading to a much more conservative and toned down celebration.
The Patriots were definitely not moving around in speedboats worth $2 million dollars shirtless like Brady and the Bucs were:

If anything, the Patriots and Brady were often eager to go home instead of sticking around to celebrate just because of how cold the weather was at time. Brady explained on ‘The Shop’:
“I had been in the Northeast for 20 years. So it’s like freezing cold when we won and it was like 38 (degrees). We were freezing by the end of the parade like, ‘Get me home!’
“This one we’re on a boat. It’s 85 degrees. We’re drinking tequila all day. I’ve got the Super Bowl trophy in my hand. I’m in my boat. Chelsea’s where the other boat is and I’m like, ‘Oh, I’m going to throw it to my boys over there.’ So I throw it and the bottom of this trophy is sharp. It could’ve gone so bad.”
That trophy throw? In case you’ve forgotten, here it is:

Yep, the difference is uncanny. Brady definitely was able to let loose in ways he hadn’t in New England, and that definitely wasn’t something he shied away from expressing in the episode.
LeBron James & Other Fan Reactions To Brady Being Drunk
At the time, Brady’s antics were wildly entertaining and had the entire sports world buzzing. Even LeBron James couldn’t help but make a joke about how drunk Brady was:
Man o man I wish we were able to have our parade too cause I would have been walking beautifully just like you! 😁😁🥴🥴👍🏾 https://t.co/6hDMncAKO7

Twitter also had a field day with Brady’s reactions:

When Tom Brady is hammered in the day time and needs to be carried it’s celebrated but for me it was a “drunk and disorderly” the double standard is real. https://t.co/i96patipFT
