It feels like Tom Brady has been playing in the NFL since time immemorial. It is truly a remarkable feat that he has been able to survive and outperform most QBs in this ever-changing and challenging league. While it might seem like he’s been playing for an eternity, he has in fact now spent more time in the NFL than he has outside it.

Brady is a 199th overall, sixth-round pick by the New England Patriots back in 2000. Back then, no one had any idea that the Patriots had just made their biggest pick ever. No one knew that the skinny boy out of Michigan would go on to become the Greatest Of All Time and win more Super Bowls than any team could imagine.
This is Brady’s 23rd year in the NFL, and he has spent exactly 22 years, 8 months, and 13 days. That was also his age on draft day, which means he’s spent more of his life as an NFL player than anything else. What’s even more impressive, is that he managed to become a Bachelor of Arts and General Studies before he got drafted, a feat very few players can boast of.
22 years of experience to come in clutch for Tom Brady in division decider
Brady’s reputation as a game-winner in the NFL comes from his performances during his 23-season career. Whenever his team needs him to step up and deliver, he’s been able to do so. Except, that is, this season. Riddled with numerous personal problems, Brady’s focus has been all over the place. But with things settling down, Brady might just have his eyes set on redemption.
The Tampa bay Buccaneers will face the Carolina Panthers on home turf on Sunday, in what could be the division decider game. A win here would mean the Bucs win the division and the playoff berth that comes with it. A loss is still fine, but they will take hurt egos with them to face the Atlanta Falcons in their final game.
If they do lose, they’ll have to hope the Panthers lose, or at least win by a small margin. The Bucs will need to pray for miracles, which are already far too scarce. It will be easier for them later if they can deal with the Panthers in the next game itself. For that to happen, though, Brady will have to come in clutch for his team. If he wants to have another shot at a Super Bowl, he will have to get his act together.
