The NFL legend played for 23 years in the league before calling it a career in February 2023. He sent shockwaves across the internet when he made his first announcement one year earlier. He was expected to reserve the remaining time for family and friends. But the veteran’s love for the game didn’t allow him to stay home, and cheer from the stands.
While all this drama continued to make headlines, Brady came forward to address the issue, stating that it was a mutual decision. And Bündchen supported him in all these aspects without any hesitation.
“I decided to talk with my family, and I said, ‘I think I wanna do this one more time if you guys will support that,” Brady said in the interview, per Business Insider. “And my wife was so supportive of it and she said, ‘Look, I want you to be happy. I want you to enjoy it and go out there and win.’ Ultimately, that’s why I came back, to win.” he added.
Although he couldn’t win the championship title, the 2022 season had everything Brady could showcase. The adrenaline rush he gave the NFL fans was on a whole different level. He was on the brink of title contention, but the Cowboys outplayed him in the wild-card round.
Tom Brady acknowledged the sacrifices made by his ex-wife
The Brazilian beauty was one of the highest-paid supermodels in the country. She became associated with the NFL superstar in 2006 after breaking up with Leonardo DiCaprio. Their bond was projected as a fairytale relationship, and likewise, Bündchen supported her ex-husband till the end. She halted her professional career just to look after the family and kids.
She hasn’t walked the runway since 2015 and has stayed out of the spotlight. “I think football is a big commitment, that’s the most challenging part…It’s a big commitment for her. She takes a lot on for our family, and she does an unbelievable job of prioritizing our kids,” Brady said in a past interview when he was still married to Bündchen. It will be interesting to see whether he can win back the Brazilian star since he is a full-time family man now.
