2. Pete Carroll, Seattle Seahawks

Pete Carroll is actually the oldest head coach in the NFL and will turn 71 this September. He currently earns a salary of $11 million per year

Known for his energy and excitement, Carroll led the Seahawks to their first Super Bowl win in 2014 along with Quarterback Russell Wilson. Since 2012, under Carroll, the Seahawks have had consecutive winning seasons to date.

3. Jon Gruden, Las Vegas Raiders

Gruden signed a 10 year $100 million deal in 2018.

He earns an average of $10 million per year. Also, Gruden won his first Super Bowl in 2003, and he was then the youngest head coach at 39 to do it.

4. Sean Payton, New Orleans Saints 

As per the most recent contract, Sean Payton’s salary is $9.8 million, and the contract will last till 2023. Payton is known to be one of the most creative and dynamic coaches in the NFL.

In 2009, he led the Saints with a 13–3 regular season, and a 31–17 victory over the Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl XLIV.

5. John Harbaugh, Baltimore Ravens

John Harbaugh won the NFL Coach of the Year award in 2019 after guiding Raven to a 14-2 record. He earns an average salary of $9 million in a year.
