The £72 million club record signing, Nicolas Pepe opened the scoring in the 8th minute of the match itself when he successfully placed the ball past David De Gea from a Sead Kolasinac pull back. He then displayed a tremendous bit of skill to floor Luke Shaw as he almost created another goal a couple of minutes later.

At the moment of writing, Arsenal are the much more dominant side with Pepe leading their charge. Although, the Gunners will be aware that they also took an early lead in the match vs Chelsea before conceding two late goals and eventually losing the match.

Arsenal will look to ensure that they do not slip up again as the side continues its rebuild under new manager Mikel Arteta.
