Ousmane Dembele wants transfer: According to reports, Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele wants a move out from the club.

Ousmane Dembele scored the equaliser for Barcelona against Atletico Madrid, salvaging a draw for the Catalan side. His goal ensured Barca stay above Simeone’s side in the league table, albeit at second, after Sevilla won their game against Valladolid a day later.

However, things seem far from convincing for the French forward outside the pitch. Dembele has been in controversy for his ill-discipline at the club, and various Barcelona stars have spoken publically about his behaviour.

Ousmane Dembele reportedly missed training ahead of the game against Real Betis, and was not included in the squad for the game.

Now, Goal has reported that the French forward wants a move away from the club.

Ousmane Dembele wants transfer:

Goal has reported that the Barcelona forward has asked the club if he could leave when the transfer window opens in January.

Barcelona signed Dembele last season from Borussia Dortmund for a transfer fee of £135.5m. However, the star had an underwhelming start to his life at Barcelona in his first season.

He performed impressively in the second year at the club, but off-the-field controversies grabbed major headlines around the star.

Ernesto Valverde has earlier spoken about the player in a press conference. “I have not lost patience with him, he has a special talent and we have to help him,” the Barcelona boss said.

He is not the only one to admit to Dembele’s attitude at the club, however. Barcelona stars Gerard Pique and Luis Suarez have also spoken publically about the footballer.

“We have to help him so that he realises that football is a 24 hour day job,” Pique said.

During the international break, Luis Suarez urged Dembele to take inspiration from the professionals inside Barcelona’s dressing room.

“He seems happy but obviously, as some colleagues said, as Ousmane himself knows, football is a privilege.

“I think he should focus on football, and take inspiration from the exemplary professionals in the Barcelona dressing room.

“He must be more responsible in some respects.”

Barcelona’ general manager, Pep Segura earlier stated in an interview with ESPN that the club is working with Dembele to get the best out of him. He also admitted that it is difficult for any player to adapt to life at Barcelona.

“It’s a normal situation for a young player with a lot of talent who has arrived at a club as big as Barca, full of great players,” Segura stated.
