Patric Evra confirms his possible new role talks with Manchester United

Patrice Evra confirms his new potential role at Manchester United, as he is amidst the talks with his former club to discuss his role.

Patrice Evra is set to return to Manchester United once again after he confirms that he is in talks with the Red Devils over a potential role at the club moving forward.

Evra has served Manchester United from 2006 to 2014 and was adored by fans. the ex-French International then left for Juventus and later made brief stints for Marseille and then West Ham.

Since then, the 38-year-old International has retired from football and enjoying his life on the other side of the field. He has also started taking his coaching badges amid sightings with United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward during a number of matches last season.

Evra has been spotted at Manchester United training ground doing his coaching badges and during an appearance on Monday Night Football before Arsenal’s clash with Sheffield United, over where he revealed his involvement with Manchester United in last few days.

In the show, Evra confirmed that he has been in talks with the club but stopped short of mentioning his specific role at the club, which he has been discussing amidst the rumours of the Red Devils looking for a director of football.

“I want to make it clear because people think I am already working for United, but no I am just doing my coaching badges,” Evra told Sky Sports.

“I am having some important talks behind the scenes so we will decide whether I work for the club in a certain role. The problem is I want to do everything, but in life, you can’t do everything.”

“But yeah, a role where I can put my hands dirty. If I come back to the club, it’s not just to put my face on it, it’s because I want my club to go back to the best club in the world.

“As a player, I sacrificed my life to succeed at this club, so I don’t know which role I will have but I will do the same.”

Manchester United is far from its glory days, as its been more than 6 years since they have won the league. Moreover, presently they sit at the 13th position this season.
