Paul Pogba on Juventus

Paul Pogba on Juventus: The Manchester United midfielder has spoken on his former club before their clash in the Champions League.

Manchester United are in good spirits at the moment. Even when the club has dropped to 10th in the Premier League, United gave a spirited performance in a 2-2 draw against Chelsea.

Jose Mourinho’s side almost secured three points from the game, before Ross Barkley scored a winner in the last minute of the match. Manchester United now face Juventus in the Champions League.

The clash will see the return of Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford. The Portuguese footballer played six seasons at Manchester United, before switching to Real Madrid in the-then world record transfer fee. Earlier this season, he signed for the Italian champions.

However, another footballer will be up against his former club. Paul Pogba came back to Manchester United after leaving the club for Juventus in 2013. Tonight, the Frenchman will be up against the Italian side for the first time since leaving them in 2016.

Paul Pogba to Juventus:

The French midfielder spoke about Juventus ahead of the Champions League game. Pogba insisted that he is at his home, but values his time at Turin.

“I have huge respect for the club (Juventus),” Pogba said.

“But I’ve come back home. I joined the youth academy here. I’m at home here and it will always be that way. The career I have had and now, with this return to Manchester, it’s really splendid.”

The French midfielder has been in controversy this season for turmoil with Jose Mourinho. After the loss to Derby County in the Carabao Cup, the duo was caught arguing during the training session. The midfielder also made remarks on United’s playing style after 1-1 draw against Wolves.

However, Mourinho has been appreciative of Paul Pogba in the press conferences.

What next?

Manchester United are currently 2nd in their group in the Champions League, and will aim for the top spot as they take on Juventus tonight. The side will return to Premier League on Sunday as they host Merseyside club Everton.
