Pogba enjoyed a terrific World Cup campaign with France, and now reports in Italy link him with a return to Juventus.

The French midfielder was central to France’s successful World Cup campaign. He dictated the play from the middle and came across as a standout performer on the pitch. Pogba also scored a goal in the 4-2 victory in the final against Croatia.

And reports now emerge from Italy that Paul Pogba wants to return to Juventus. The Manchester United midfielder is excited with the prospect of playing with Cristiano Ronaldo, and hence wants the move.

Pogba joined Manchester United from Juventus in 2016, for a club record transfer fee of 89m. Incidentally, he joined Juventus after failing to break into first team at Manchester United, where he was a youth player.

Italian outlet Tuttosport, who was also among the first to report Ronaldo’s move to Juventus, have claimed that Paul Pogba wants to come back to Turin.

During the world cup celebrations, Blaise Matuidi, the French midfielder, also asks Pogba to “remember to come to Juventus,” to which Pogba replies, “Ooh, the Old Lady, the Old Lady,” smilingly.

It was reported during the Premier League season that Paul Pogba has had some differences with manager Jose Mourinho. He was also subsequently benched by the Portuguese manager due to lack of consistency on the pitch. However, Pogba has replied to his critics in a terrific way as he led France to World Cup glory.
