The Pokemon Company unveiled the name of the Pokemon that appeared in Pokemon Go. The Pokemon will also make an appearance in the new game. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Ghost type is named Gimmighoul and was spotted in a Coin chest in Pokemon Go.
The Ghost type was revealed by the official Pokemon Scarlet and Violet website which says it is available in two forms– Chest Form and Roaming Form. What the players had seen in Pokemon Go was the chest form of Gimmighoul. According to the official sources, this Ghost-type Pokemon will be able to change form and type once it switches to the roaming form.
While Gimmighoul is available in both Pokemon Go and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, players will only be able to play its roaming form after they have connected their Pokemon Go account to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, after it is officially released.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Ghost-type Pokemon revealed
The Scarlet and Violet website had uploaded a few videos in which some kind of Gimmighoul gameplay was seen during a battle. As mentioned before, the Gimmighoul is going to have two forms. In the Chest form, one can notice its small size. Gimmighoul is just a foot tall and weighs around 11 pounds.
However, to people’s dismay, there is no information regarding its Roaming Form. The only infomation known is that it will only be found in the wild.
The Roaming Form of Gimmighoul can only be found hiding in the wild lands of Paldea, and it is known for not being the most social Pokemons. It runs away from trainers and according to the website, no trainer has ever been able to get their hands on the Roaming Form of this Ghost-type pokemon.
When Chest Form Gimmighoul senses a person or Pokémon, it ambushes them and uses ghost energy to control its target, forcing them to collect coins!

While understanding the ghost type’s ability in the battle, one can see his Rattled ability that accelerates its speed when hit by the bug, dark and ghost-type moves. According to the two Professors that are shown in the video, the Chest form of Gimmighoul manipulates trainers into gathering a lot of coins and the roaming form does nothing of that sort.
