Bangladesh won a nail-biting encounter against Sri Lanka in a virtual semi-final, as they earned the right to face India in the final.

India on the other hand comfortably made their way to the final, and will start as favourites tonight. Here is the expected XI to start for India.

OPENERS

Rohit Sharma (captain)

The Hitman finally got back into form after a wonderful innings in the last game against Bangladesh. Rohit will want to once again perform, and score some runs in the all-important final.

Shikhar Dhawan

One of the best batsman of the tournament so far, Dhawan will no doubt be looking to perform in a big match, and help India lift the Nidahas Trophy.

MIDDLE ORDER

Suresh Raina

Raina has flickered, but not yet caught fire since his return to the Indian side. The left hander knows that a substantial innings here can propel him back into the Indian team for good.

Manish Pandey

Pandey will surely get another chance, as the Karnataka batsman will be looking to cement himself in the Indian middle order.

Dinesh Karthik (wk)

In spite of knowing that MSD will come in his place in England, DK should contribute more with the bat to build a case for him to be considered part of the Indian middle order.

Deepak Hooda

Hooda should finally get a chance in this match, as the all-rounder will need to take his opportunity and hit a home run.

BOWLERS

Yuzvendra Chahal

Chahal has had a surprisingly poor series with the ball, and will be looking to make amends with a brilliant game in the final.

Washington Sundar

India’s standout bowler in this series, Sundar will want to continue his brilliant form with the ball in the final as well.

Vijay Shankar

Shankar has been hot and cold this series and will need to show a little bit more to challenge the current Indian first team bowlers. His batting needs to be seen to discuss the possibility of replacing Hardik Pandya.

Shardul Thakur

Thakur has not had a very impressive series and will be looking to shine in the final tonight.

Jaydev Unadkat

The leader of this bowling attack, Unadkat will be expected to put in a superb display tonight against Bangladesh.
