Premier League footballer accused of 'gang rape'

Premier League footballer accused of ‘gang rape’ by woman who claims her drink was spiked during a lockdown party after which she was taken advantage of. 

While much of the world is under lockdown following the Coronavirus pandemic, an unnamed Premier League player hosted a lockdown party; During which, a woman has accused the footballer of raping her and suspects that his friends might have also assaulted her in a rented flat.

This comes days after Chelsea’s 19-year old Callum Hudson-Odoi was accused of rape in an unrelated incident. Hudson-Odoi was held overnight by and freed on bail until next month. In the given situation however, the police have not yet confirmed if any action has taken place so far.

According to Daily Star, the victim claims her drinks were spiked with drugs. The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was interviewed by detectives and has been examined by forensic medical staff as well as by doctors. The detectives have since launched an investigation into the matter.

The report claims that the victim woke up the next morning naked with scratches to her legs and says the unnamed player was also unclothed in bed beside her.

The woman said that she asked him what had happened and he told her that they had  had sex before leaving the room.

But her friend said that the woman ‘could barely stand the night before’ and was not in a state to consent to sex.

The woman claims the following day she received an anonymous call from someone who told her the player and his friends had spiked her drink.

She went to a police station and made the rape ­allegation.
