Teacher’s day is a special occasion as it honours the contribution of teachers from all walks of life.
As we try and say thank you to the teachers that have played a part in our journey so far, some of the most famous athletes in our country are also paying tribute to their respective coaches.
PV Sindhu is no different. She has turned producer for a digital film, that is essentially a tribute to her coach Pullela Gopichand.
The film is a tie up between Sindhu and drink brand Gatorade. Titled #IHATEMYTEACHER, in the film Sindhu talks about how Gopichand would never let her rest and always kept pushing her to the limits.

“Coach has worked relentlessly and has had big dreams for me. He is my faith replenisher. Working with Gatorade on this film has hit close to home, and I can’t help but feel indebted to coach for his relentless pursuit of excellence,” Sindhu, ambassador of the drink brand, said in a statement.
“This Teacher’s Day, I dedicate all my success to him and urge everyone else to also honour the driving force in their lives. Let’s hate our teachers for pushing us further and believing in us more than we believe in ourselves.”
