After winning the toss and electing to bat first, Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer (52) stitched a 68-run partnership with opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan (50) to power his team to 187/5 in 20 overs.

In the second innings, veteran spinner Amit Mishra and fast bowler Kagiso Rabada had dismissed a couple of batsmen each to play a vital role in restricting the visitors to 171/7 in 20 overs.
