RCB Predicted Playing 11 for today’s match vs DC

RCB Predicted Playing 11 for today’s match vs DC: The Sportsrush presents before you RCB’s Predicted Playing 11 for their sixth match of IPL 2019.

5 matches. 0 points. RCB have gotten off to a horrifying start in this year’s IPL and that is probably an understatement. Languishing at the very bottom of the points table, RCB are looking down the barrel yet again. They did come close to victory against KKR but an unbelievably brutal innings by Andre Russell denied them their first two points.

RCB now have to virtually win almost every match to qualify for the playoffs. MI have done it earlier and there is no reason RCB cannot. They seem to have found a good combination of players. Apart from the last 4 overs, RCB was always in the game against KKR and they need to take confidence from that and give their best in this match against DC.

Top-order

The RCB top order is probably the best in the competition and a lot depends on how they perform. Parthiv Patel has looked very impressive at the top of the order and has almost always made a significant contribution to the team. Virat Kohli and Ab de Villiers would look to replicate their brilliant performance once again. If they both fire, more often than not, RCB would surely win.

Middle-order

The RCB middle order boasts of some big names like Moeen Ali and Marcus Stoinis. When they fire, RCB would surely be unstoppable. The middle order will be tested if the top order fails to perform. Moeen and Stoinis would walk into the team as they give solid Kohli two solid bowling options as well.

Akshdeep Nath is also expected to maintain his place in the squad. He has not got enough opportunities to show his worth. All-rounder Pawan Negi would round up the middle order. The middle order needs to buckle up for RCB to have a genuine chance.

Bowlers

Seeing the nature of the Chinnaswamy pitch during the RCB v KKR match, it can be easily concluded that the spinners got a lot of assistance while the pacers were smashed to all corners of the ground. If the pitch remains the same, RCB might consider adding Washington Sundar to the squad probably in place of Mohammad Siraj who has been expensive.

Then, they would possess 4 genuine spinning options in the form of Sundar, Chahal, Negi and Moeen Ali. Sundar can also contribute with the bat. Navdeep Saini, with his express pace and bounce, is one for the future and he should keep making the XI stronger.

Tim Southee looked good apart from the 19th over of the KKR match. He should be in the playing XI as well. He would also have the role of guiding young Saini and the Aussie, Stoinis.
