Real Madrid are stepping up to pursuit Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.

Real Madrid have stepped up to prise Christian Eriksen Tottenham Hotspur as they plan for squad overhaul in the summer transfer window. According to the reliable English outlet Independent, the Los Blancos are willing to pay an amount of 100 million Euros to lure the Danish superstar to Santiago Bernabeu.

The 26-year-old midfielder’s contract ends in 2020, and he has refused to extend his contract with Spurs despite being offered between 200,000 to 250,000 pounds per week. It is understood that the former Ajax is looking for a new adventure to kick off, but he is not ready to force a move from the English outfit.

Mirror Football reported that Real Madrid scouts will be watching the game between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur as they take on each other in the League Cup Semifinals. Undoubtedly, the scouts will be having an eye on both Eriksen and Hazard who are viewed as potential replacements for Luka Modric and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Eriksen looks the likeliest to be driven away from London as per the reports.

It has been a tough summer for them as they were not able to bring in suitable players to compete in the League, but their destiny in the Copa Del Rey and Champions League remains in the hunt.

Real Madrid have been rattled in the midfield department this season, and their defense has not stood up when they needed them the most this campaign. It has been a painful start, and Florentino Perez has already started to look at the possible replacements.

Christian Eriksen has been one of the best attacking midfielders over the last few years. Since joining Spurs, he has thrived under the management of Mauricio Pochettino who has the habit of nurturing players.

Christian Eriksen has amassed 251 appearances since signing for the club in 2012. He has an eye on the goal, scoring 62 times and assisting on 78 occasions.

Barcelona chose to sign Philippe Coutinho instead of the Danish International last January, which would mean that Real Madrid are the only genuine contender interested to secure his services.
