Real Madrid Transfer News: Los Blancos ready to give up Gareth Bale and £70 million for Manchester City star Raheem Sterling.
Real Madrid has been struggling to reach at the top of the European football ever since Cristiano Ronaldo has left, and they certainly lack the lethality upfront.
Hence, according to Sky Sports, Los Blancos president Florentino Perez is pushing ahead with a deal for Sterling to avoid his value from rocketing up from the staggering £150m valuation at present.
If Sterling makes him look suitable for the Spanish club to the representatives in the matches against Montenegro and Kosovo (home and away respectively) then Real Madrid will reportedly try to match the price for the English player.
Although, Real Madrid’s managing director Jose Angel Sanchez had met with Sterling’s representatives in the summer in a failed bid to land the City star.
Since Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is not keen to send his star player away from the club and values him highly. Whereas, the Spanish manager would also be not interested in Los Merengues wantaway Gareth Bale.
Thus, in all circumstances, this deal doesn’t seem viable for Real Madrid, who wish to repeat their glory days. On the other hand, Manchester City has a squad which can be regarded as the best in the world at current form.

Thus, Citizens do fancy their chances to win several laurels under Guardiola, as the club has invested billions to make them achieve a long-run success and Sterling is a vital part of the plan.
Moreover, Sterling is at the highest level of his career, and in the 15 games he has played this season across all competitions, he has amassed 13 goals and 5 assists. With such devastating form at the age of 24, Sterling is deemed to reach heights.
Further ahead, Sterling’s contract with Manchester City runs till 2023, and with the current status of Real Madrid, it seems near to impossible for Los Blancos to lure him.
