Real Madrid will take action in the forthcoming days over his uncertain future at Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid Skipper Sergio Ramos has cast doubts over his future at the club. The Los Blancos are in complete disarray and the lack of leaders and quality at times have bitten their back in the last year. It is mainly down to some ageing players, who have struggled to find their feet and they might be forced out by Zidane.
The Spanish International is in a muddling state to leave the club, even though the decision has not been made yet, according to the Spanish source Marca via El Chiringuito TV. Sergio Ramos invited Florentino Perez to his house and expressed his equivocal future which remains in the air as Ramos has started assessing his options in the transfer window.
Once the meeting concluded, two parties agreed to continue with the talks in the coming days to analyze what is the best decision for both parties. The 31-year-old has a contract until 2021 with the Los Blancos and he is yet to extend his deal beyond that year. There is no doubt that the skipper has underperformed in the recent season, but he is still the most important defender in the backline for the Los Blancos.
If he is desiring to leave the club, Florentino Perez will have no option to let him leave and sign a defender with high ceiling than him currently. Zidane has already bought Eder Militao for the backline, and it remains doubtful if he would go back to reinforce the backline unless it’s entailed.
Manchester United, Juventus, and a club from China are eagerly keeping an eye on this situation, according to the AS.
Months ago, Raphael Varane was linked with a move away from the club in the search of a new adventure. Viewed as the man to succeed Sergio Ramos to the armband, the French International will remain at the club unless something dramatic happens.
