Tim Sherwood has predicted Christian Eriksen to end up at Real Madrid after this season.
Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood has predicted Tottenham Hotspur to join Real Madrid in the summer transfer window. The Danish International is yet extending his contract which expires in 2020 which increases the possibility of leaving.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino said that he remains hopeful that Eriksen puts pen to paper in a recent interview. It is a very tricky situation for the English outfit, who will be struggling to keep him in the summer transfer window regardless of what happens in Madrid in the Champions League finals.
The 27-year-old joined Tottenham Hotspur from Ajax for a reported fee of 11.5 million in 2013 summer. He has made 276 appearances, racking up 66 goals and 86 assists in this period.
Speaking to the Express, Tim Sherwood has quoted that it would be tough for Christian Eriksen to turn down Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.
“I would love to see Eriksen sign a new contract and commit his future to Tottenham, but I’m not sure that he will. I think we might see Eriksen in a Real Madrid shirt next season. Real Madrid are always just a phone call away from signing most players in the world because when that phone rings, it is very difficult to turn down Real Madrid.” said Sherwood.
Having already signed Eder Militao, very reports quote that the Los Blancos are closing in on a deal for the Chelsea star Eden Hazard. Maurizio Sarri has given up on the situation as Hazard looks very likely to sign for the reigning Champions League winners.
Spurs are already linked with Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes, who had a tremendous campaign with Everton on a temporary deal. The Portuguese International is set to join in a 30 million deal this summer, although he is directly not seen as Christian Eriksen’s replacement.

The Spurs Q&A is up and running and the first few answers are about whether Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld will sign new contracts and whether Levy will back Poch this summer, or will the Spurs boss leave. Hundreds more questions to get through. https://t.co/9ZwnyOBzaM
