Barcelona sue Neymar

Real Madrid have had a horror start to their campaign as they are well off the pace in both the league as well as the Champions league.

There is already a sizable gap between Barcelona and Real in the league standings, with things only going to get more difficult from here on in. The defending champions have their task cut out, as their star players will now need to pull up their socks and prove their worth.

Their biggest star of them all, Cristiano Ronaldo is having a really tough time. Although he was awarded the FIFA Player of the Year award, the truth is that his recent performances do not do any justice to that accolade.

The Portuguese has been struggling to find the back of the net this season, something that has really affected the performance of Real Madrid. Real have been hugely dependent on the Portuguese for many years now, and his sudden drought has left them exposed.

With Bale out injured and Benzema struggling with form and fitness, Real Madrid really need their talisman back in full flow. But with age also catching up, the higher powers at the club are looking to replace the legendary Portuguese.

Real have made a shortlist to replace Ronaldo, with Neymar being their number one target. Although it would be incredibly difficult to bring Neymar from PSG, Real would at least want to give it a good go.

Dybala and Griezmann are the other candidates to replace Ronaldo, with the Argentine being a more easier target than the French superstar.

Let’s see what unfolds at Real Madrid this season.
