Red Bull fuel rumours of Dutch GP return with tweets about Max Verstappen and the Dutch GP

Multiple sources have confirmed that the Dutch GP is set for a historic return to the F1 calendar, with the Zandvoort circuit having signed a 5 year deal.

Max Verstappen’s popularity and the fact that he could be a future Formula 1 champion has forced the F1 authorities to explore an option of returning to Netherlands.

Talks have been ongoing and it seems like Zandvoort will be back on the calendar from the year 2020. Now, the Dutch GP hasn’t made an appearance on the F1 calendar since 1985 and will be a welcome addition to the calendar, especially from a Red Bull perspective, as the orange army would want to get behind their local hero Max Verstappen and urge him onto a F1 world title.

Dutch GP to return?

According to reports, F1 is working towards a spring date for the grand prix, so as to avoid any kind of clash with the Belgian GP, which too attracts a lot of Dutch support.

The Dutch GP has also received clearance from the Netherlands government, having also received €4 million financial aid. Now, Red Bull too have gone onto fuel the rumours of a Dutch GP return with their twitter activity.

The Dutch GP could be quite a spectacle if it gets the nod from the F1, with Verstappen getting some much needed boisterous support as well.

Red Bull have started the 2018 season decently, with considerable pace gap between them and the midfield and have the ammunition to challenge both Ferrari and Mercedes in at least some of the races. Verstappen will need to drive out of his skin in order to give his team a couple of victories before the Summer break this season.
