Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Juventus shocked the footballing fraternity a couple of days back, as the mega transfer will now trigger a few more transfers in the summer.

Ronaldo leaves a massive void at Madrid, having scored 451 goals for the club in the 9 seasons that he spent there.

His ability to rise to the occasion during crunch situations in Europe made him a unstoppable player during the Champions league knockouts, and that was possibly the biggest reason for Real Madrid winning 3 Champions League titles in the last 3 years.

But with his long standing romance with Madrid coming to and end, the Portuguese star is now all set to romance the ‘Old Lady’ and according to reports, he wants Marcelo to join him in this new little venture of his.

Marcelo has been a very faithful servant of Real Madrid all these years, tirelessly running down that left flank and playing a major role in the Champions League success of Madrid in the last 5 years.

Ronaldo and Marcelo share a special bond with each other, something that is visible from Marcelo’s recent Instagram post for Ronaldo.

According to reports in Sport Mediaset, Ronaldo has asked the Juventus President to launch a bid for the Brazilian left back, as Ronaldo shares a wonderful rapport for him.

Marcelo presently has a release clause of £160 million, something that would be a little too much for Juve, especially as Madrid are in mood to sell the Brazilian.

Juventus’ current left back Alex Sandro is quite in demand in Europe, with Manchester United being one of the interested parties.

A price tag of £70 million has been slapped on the Brazilian, and if they manage to sell him this summer, they might actually be able to fund Marcelo’s move, if the team management decides to honour Ronaldo’s demands.

Do you think Marcelo will join Ronaldo at Real Madrid?
