Pant admits being scared of Virat Kohli’s anger: The rookie Indian wicket-keeper batsman was vocal about the Indian captain.

The ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League will be the first for India wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant after him playing for India across formats. While Pant will be instilled with confidence before his fourth IPL season, he will also be vary about the challenges with this season possesses for him.

A stellar IPL 2019 has it in it to earn Pant a ticket to England for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. There is no hiding to the fact that the southpaw will be observed throughout the season. While consistent performances will press his case, inconsistency will speak of the otherwise.

In a recent video posted on the official website of Pant’s IPL franchise Delhi Capitals, Pant admits being afraid of India captain Virat Kohli’s anger. Considering the names involved, the video has gone viral across social media platforms.

“I am not scared of anyone but Virat bhaiya ke gusse se dar lagta hai (I’m scared of Virat Kohli’s anger),” Pant was quoted as saying on Delhi Capitals website.

Further speaking on the Indian skipper, Pant said that Kohli’s anger only comes when anyone commits a mistake. “But if you are doing everything correctly, then why he [Kohli] should get angry. But if you make a mistake and someone gets angry with you, it’s good because you only learn from your mistakes,” Pant further said.

There is no denying to the fact that Pant will play a pivotal role at Capitals this season. Given the format and his style of batting, both have it in them to complement each other. Pant will be seen in action tomorrow as Delhi Capitals will take-off their IPL 2019 against Mumbai Indians at Mumbai.
