Robert Kubica on F1 comeback, says he deserves a little more opportunities before he can really compete against other drivers.

Robert Kubica could be on his way to an emotional F1 comeback, years after he injured himself in a rally crash.

Lawrence Stroll purchasing Force India has opened the gates for Kubica to make his F1 comeback as soon as Monza this year.

Kubica is obviously looking forward to the opportunity but has sort of lashed out at the critics and fans who want Kubica to be faster than other drivers when he gets limited opportunities.

Kubica has been Williams’ reserve driver this year but a full seat for next year would be massive for Kubica and F1.

“I’m trying to maximize my opportunity, and I’m happy with my work, but it’s complicated,” Kubica said as quoted by Motorsport Magazin.

“What can I do more? Much depends on what people expect.

“If people expect me to race every four months, and the pace of the regular drivers, who are talented and sit in the car every week, can go or even be half a second faster … just take a tennis player and leave him six years old Do not do his sport, then give him an hour of training before he has to play a final against Nadal, he can still win, but it’s a difficult challenge.

“There’s no time for sentimentalism in Formula One, it’s a tough business.

“I think we have to look at the situation realistically, for me I know what I am capable of, and if I drive from now on, it can only get better and all right now it’s an acceptable level for me. ” he added.
