Romelu Lukaku: Agent fuels Inter Milan link with huge transfer claim

Romelu Lukaku’s agent has fueled speculations linking with his client with Inter Milan with a huge transfer claim.

Romelu Lukaku’s agent has confirmed that Inter Milan are trying to sign him from Manchester United this summer. The Belgian International has been touted to leave the Red Devils and the two-year stint is nearing its end.

While his manager Roberto Martinez has urged him to leave for regular game time, the speculations about him joining Inter Milan is gathering intensity as the day passes.

In support of that statement from the Belgium boss, Lukaku’s agent Federico Pastorello was spotted in a meeting with the officials from Inter Milan on Tuesday afternoon.

Pastorello says that the primary discussion was to discuss the transfer of one of his clients Edoardo Vergani, who is preparing to join Sassuolo.

When he was asked about the future of Romelu Lukaku, he elaborated that the striker’s dream is to move to Inter Milan, even though the transfer looks unlikely currently.

“We talked about [Edoardo] Vergani because his is a more urgent situation,” Pastorello told FC Inter News.

“In the next few days, we’ll talk about the rest.

“Lukaku is a dream, a difficult one to make happen as such, but I believe nothing is impossible.”

He added: “Yes [Inter are trying to sign Lukaku[. He’s publicly expressed his plans and desires. We’ll see what happens.”

The 26-year-old, despite the recent criticisms, has found the back of the net on 42 occasions and assisted 13 times from 96 appearances for the Red Devils. He is not seen as the primary striker by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as he prefers the young Marcus Rashford through the middle.

The Belgian International has been told to deputize the English striker, but Lukaku wants a move away from the club. Inter Milan are not prepared to pay 75 million, the amount which the Red Devils paid to Everton. Solskjaer is also not keen on a swap deal.

Here’s how Twitter has reacted..
