SA vs ENG Dream11 Prediction : South Africa vs England Best Dream 11 Team for 1st ODI

SA vs ENG Dream11 Prediction :

The new-look South African side will look to get back on track and form a good limited-overs unit as they meet world champions England in the 1st ODI at Cape Town starting tomorrow. It hasn’t been a good few months for the Proteas. After bowing out of the 2019 World Cup, the Proteas is having a lean run in the ICC Test Championship as well. The limited-overs captaincy has been handed over to Quinton de Kock as South Africa hopes to prepare a good ODI outfit for the 2023 World Cup.

Proteas will be missing the services of some of their top players including speedster Kagiso Rabada. They have brought in several new faces who will look to make an impact in the opening clash. Lungisani Ngidi will spearhead the bowling line-up in the absence of Rabada.

On the other hand, England will also be missing the services of Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer. However, they have enough firepower in their ranks who can prove to be way hot to handle on their day. In all likelihood, we might witness a good contest tomorrow.

Pitch Conditions and Toss

The surface at Cape Town has been traditionally helpful for the fast bowlers. Over the years the average score batting first at this ground has been 235. The conditions tomorrow are expected to be overcast and hence the fast bowlers will again come into the equation. The side winning the toss might be tempted to bowl especially given the fact that there are chances of rain.

SA vs ENG Dream11 Picks

Wicket-keepers

Jonny Bairstow and Quinton de Kock will be the first two players in our dream XI team. Bairstow is a terrific striker of the ball and has been a sensational opening batsman for England over the years. Meanwhile, Bairstow scored an unbeaten century in the practice match against CSA Inv XI. Meanwhile, Quinton de Kock is also a class batsman and can make batting look ridiculously easy at times.

He looked in good touch with the bat during the Test series against England but failed to score a century. However, the white ball format should bring out the best from De Kock and his captaincy skills will also be on display.

Batsmen

The first two batsmen in our dream XI team will be Eoin Morgan and Jason Roy. Morgan is one of the finest hitters of the ball and can also play the waiting game to perfection. In the 2019 World Cup match against Afghanistan, Morgan displayed his wide array of shots and took them to the cleaners. Meanwhile, Jason Roy has evolved as one of the best openers in the limited-overs format. He has the ability to get England off to flying starts and will look for much of the same tomorrow.

Reeza Hendricks and Temba Bavuma will be the two batsmen from South Africa in our dream XI team. Reeza is an impressive opening batsman who has looked in good touch at the top of the order. He has played just 2 ODI’s for his country so far including a century to his name. On the other hand, Temba Bavuma is another young talent who is yet to realize his potential in the international circuit. He has been in form and should be one of the most important batsmen for the Proteas in the middle order.

All-rounders

Chris Woakes and Andile Phehlukwayo will be the two all-rounders in our dream XI team. Woakes is a world-class all-rounder who has the ability to chip in with important wickets upfront and also at the death. Meanwhile, he is also a dependable lower middle-order batsman and should be one of the most important players for England.

On the other hand, Phehlukwayo is a good option for South Africa. He has done a good job for them and will look to continue the same. He is a medium-pacer who has the knack of taking wickets. Meanwhile, he is also a powerful striker of the ball.

Bowlers

Adil Rashid, Lungi Ngidi and Bjorn Fortuin will be the three bowlers in our dream XI team. Rashid is a wicket-taking bowler having the ability to spin a web around top batting line-ups. He is also a useful lower-order batsman who has chipped in with some important knocks.

Lungi Ngidi will be spearheading the South African pace attack tomorrow. He has been in good wicket-taking form in the recent past. In 22 ODI’s so far, Ngidi has bagged 41 wickets in his career so far. Meanwhile, Bjorn Fortuin is expected to make his debut tomorrow. He is a fine young bowler who has played two T20I’s and has bagged 3 wickets.

Captain and Vice-captain

Jason Roy will be the captain of the day while Chris Woakes will be the vice-captain.
