It hasn’t been a good few months for the Proteas. After bowing out of the 2019 World Cup, the Proteas is having a lean run in the ICC Test Championship as well. The limited-overs captaincy has been handed over to Quinton de Kock as South Africa hopes to prepare a good ODI outfit for the 2023 World Cup.
Proteas will be missing the services of some of their top players including speedster Kagiso Rabada. They have brought in several new faces who will look to make an impact in the opening clash. Lungisani Ngidi will spearhead the bowling line-up in the absence of Rabada.

Jonny Bairstow and Quinton de Kock will be the first two players in our dream XI team. Bairstow is a terrific striker of the ball and has been a sensational opening batsman for England over the years.
