Sadio Mane forgets to take a knee

Sadio Mane forgets to take a knee during Merseyside derby against Everton on the Reds Premier League return on Sunday evening.

The Premier League have decided to replace players names on their jerseys with Black Lives Matter. In correspondence with the movement, the players begin every match by taking a knee. This is done to show the Premier League’s solidarity with the campaign.

Liverpool have not played a game in over 3 months since the suspension of the season. Naturally the players were willing to get in the thick of the action. Sadio Mane, however, seemed more than eager to get the game going as he darted down the wings while forgetting to take a knee before the start of the game.

Mane seemed more than eager to start the game, as he charged down the line before realising his mistake. He immediately returned to his position and took a knee as well.

Liverpool only need to win two more matches to win the Premier League for the first time in their history. The title will however have to wait following a goalless draw against Merseyside rivals Everton.

Klopp made several changes from the side that last played. Star players Mohamed Salah and Andrew Robertson were rested while Naby Keita and Joel Matip were handed unexpected starts.
