The Anfield has become a fortess for the Reds. They last lost a match there almost 3 years back when Christian Benteke’s brace sealed a famous 2-1 win for Crystal Palace in April 2017. Interestingly, Mane missed the match through an injury and was replaced by Divock Origi in their line-up.

This is evidence of his impact on Jurgen Klopp’s side; who wear a much more complete look with the Senegalese in their front three. It is important to note that Mohamed Salah also boasts of an unbeaten record at the Anfield, but considering that Mane has been at the club a year longer, Mane has that slight advantage over him.

Notable exceptions

Sadio Mane’s stay at Liverpool has seen him suffer a few defeats at Anfield though. Liverpool lost 2-1 to Chelsea and 3-2 to West Brom in 2018. However, both of these losses came in the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup respectively.

Mane has been an incredible purchase for the Reds, especially when you take into account that Manchester United were lauded for landing Memphis Depay that same season. We all know how that turned out.
