Pakistan Cricket Team skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed is apparently disappointed with the kind of pitches the Indian team has played on so far, in the ongoing Cricket World Cup.
Sarfaraz’s comments came after having a look at the Taunton pitch, where his team is currently squaring off against Australia in match no.17 of of the World Cup. As per the reports, the 32-year-old was unhappy with the pace-friendly pitch that was prepared at the Cooper Associates County Ground at Taunton. The grassy and bouncy pitch has not gone down well with Sarfaraz.

Pakistan’s team bundled out for a paltry 105 against the West Indies in their opening match of the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Alike the majority of pitches in their new ‘adopted’ home at UAE, the wicket at Trent Bridge in Nottingham was quite lively as 7 Pakistani batsmen succumbed to the bouncers hurled at them by the Windies pace attack consisting of Oshane Thomas and Andre Russell.
“Indians always get wickets which are good for batting”- Sarfaraz
As per the popular newspaper circulated at Taunton- ‘Jang’, the Pakistan skipper was reportedly furious at the pitches he has received so far in the World Cup, as they are not in accordance to their style of play.

A disgruntled Sarfaraz, couldn’t help himself but compare it with the kind of pitches the Indian Team has played on so far. The 2017 Champions Trophy winning captain apparently opined that India always gets pitches which are batting friendly and assist their slower bowlers.
“The captain has been wondering as to why the Indians always get wickets which are good for batting and also suitable for spinners. Such wickets suit Asian teams. However, the Pakistan team is almost always made to play on more challenging surfaces in ICC events like the one at Taunton,” a source close to Sarfaraz was quoted as saying in Geo News.
While their previous match against Sri Lanka was washed-off due to rain, Pakistan came back beautifully with a 14-run win against the tournament red-hot favourites and Hosts England after receiving a heavy drubbing against the Windies in their opening match by 7 wickets.
They are currently placed at the 8th spot in the points table with 3 points.
