Sergi Roberto injury update: The versatile Barca footballer is confirmed injured and will miss Barca’s Champions League match against Tottenham.
Barcelona received another injury setback as Sergi Roberto will miss Barcelona’s important Champions League match against Tottenham Hotspur. Sergi Roberto was forced off the field with injury during the match against Athletic Bilbao in the La Liga game last weekend.
The Catalan giants are struggling with poor form at the moment, with the club dropping five out of a maximum six points from their last two La Liga matches. Barcelona’s central defender Samuel Umtiti also suffered a severe injury and has been reportedly ruled out for over four-to-six months.

Earlier, Barcelona captain Lionel Messi commented on Barcelona’s disappointing performances on the field.
“We are not anxious because the season is long and has only just started, but we are angry about the last results. Against Leganes we played well in the first half and lost, and today we created chances to win but couldn’t,” said Messi.
“We are aware that we have to be much stronger defensively.

“Last year we hardly conceded goals but now teams are scoring against us with their first attempt. We cannot afford to concede goals in every game. We have to improve and become stronger in defence, which is the most important thing.”
