Sergio Busquets vs Inter Milan

Sergio Busquets vs Inter Milan: The Barcelona midfielder was on top form against the Italian side in the Champions League game.

Barcelona returned to winning ways after slump in form before the international break. Ernesto Valverde’s side cruised past Sevilla and Inter Milan in their two games since the club football resumed.

The win against Inter Milan was significant as Barcelona played without Lionel Messi, who was forced off with an injury during the game against Sevilla.

Rafinha and Jordi Alba scored across the two halves as Barcelona retained their position at the top of their group.

Sergio Busquets, the legendary Barcelona’s defensive midfielder was key to Barcelona’s performance against Inter Milan. While the midfielder was key to the side’s victory, he also produced moments of brilliance during the game. One of those moments came in the closing stages of the game, when Busquets fluently skipped past two Inter Milan players.

Sergio Busquets vs Inter Milan:

After Barcelona scored their second goal in the 83rd minute of the game, Busquets decided to show-off his delicate touch on the ball. He received the ball on his chest, cleverly skipped past an Inter Milan player while creating space with his first touch.

He didn’t settle for this, and did the same against another Inter defender, before making the pass.

His skills didn’t go unnoticed by the fans at Camp Nou, as Busquets earned an ovation from the crowd.

Here is the video of Busquets’ amazing skills against Inter Milan:

Playing as a defensive midfielder, Busquets’ main job is to avert threats from the opposition’s attackers. He did so quite efficiently, and in one passage of the play, he impressed the crowd again with a clever pass under intense pressure.

Marc Andre ter-Stegen, the Barca goalkeeper, played the ball to Busquets, who was then immediately pressed upon by two Inter attackers. The Spanish midfielder, however, dealt with the situation perfectly.

What next?

Barcelona will be in action in La Liga on Sunday as they host season’s first El Clasico. Real Madrid have been in poor form in the league, as Lopetegui’s side is currently 7th in the table.

The Los Blancos slumped to a 2-1 defeat against Levante at Santiago Bernabeu, and looked edgy as they emerged winners over Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League this week.
