One of the biggest weddings of this generation took place last night, when Team India Captain, Virat Kohli, and Bollywood star, Anushka Sharma tied the knot in Tuscany, Italy.

The duo, along with family and friends remained extremely secret about the wedding that was a very close knit affair, with only very close friends and family members making it to Italy.

Virat Kohli had earlier opted out of the Sri Lanka limited overs series, sighting ‘fatigue’ as the reason, but now we all know why Virat wanted some time off.

News broke out about the highly anticipated wedding last night, with media houses all over the country covering the event excessively, and stars from both, the cricket fraternity and the acting fraternity, taking to social media to express their love towards the newly weds.

Virat and Anushka will be hosting a reception for their friends and colleagues in Delhi and Mumbai, on the 21st and 26th of December respectively.

The duo will then fly off to South Africa, as Virat will resume duty as captain of India for India’s tour of South Africa. Anushka will spend some time with Virat in South Africa before flying back to India to resume the shooting of here ‘next’ with Shah Rukh Khan in Mumbai.

Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan were amongst the first celebrities to wish the couple good luck for their married life and it was no surprise that both these tweets went extremely viral, with fans drooling over this outpour of love from two of the most influential people in the film industry
