The legendary Shane Warne has sent a cryptic tweet, in which he hinted at making a very special announcement in regards to the latest edition of the Indian Premier League.

Warne famously led Rajasthan Royals all the way to the title in the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League back in 2008. For someone who never led his national team, Warne was tremendous as a captain, as he inspired the entire squad and captured the imagination of the league.

Warne played a couple of seasons with Rajasthan, before he eventually called it a day and retired from the game completely.

One of the greatest cricketers to have ever played the game, Warne is widely regarded as the best spinner that the game has ever seen. Warne has inspired people all over the country, as the Aussie champion was a true delight to watch in full flight.

It is being reported that Warne is in line to return to Rajasthan Royals as a part of the think tank for the IPL franchise. After a very good IPL auction, the Royals are looking to hire someone who can guide them and act as a mentor through the tournament.

Former Mumbai batsman, Zubin Barucha has been brought back as the chief of cricketing operations for Rajasthan Royals, which is great news for Warne, as the pair reportedly had a great working relationship previously at the franchise.

Now a colour commentator, Warne was in line to get called up to the IPL commentary team before this opportunity opened up for him.

Warne sent out a tweet, in which he said that he is very excited to make an announcement in a few days time which concerns IPL 2018.

If he does return to the IPL, Warne will be given a hero’s welcome at Rajasthan. One of the most loved Aussie cricketers in the country, Warne has always been popular in India and will definitely add some star power to the already most glamorous cricket league in the world.
