The England-Australia game last night brought some banter to the fore, with Shane Warne and Sourav Ganguly getting involved in a healthy bet regarding who would emerge victorious at the end of the night.

Australia were in the drivers seat when they had knocked over the English top 3, but an inspired partnership between Morgan and Stokes took England handsomely over the line.
The England ODI resurgence has been heartening to see, with them shedding the underachievers tag and dishing out a fearless and well adept ODI team. Australia on the other hand have had a tough time finding the right middle order batsmen. But most importantly that killer instinct seems to be missing from the Australian setup, something that they very highly regarded for during the first decade of the 21st century.
At an Aaj Tak Salaam event in London the duo were discussing the England vs Australia fixture in the Champions Trophy and they got into a bet regarding the same. Shane Warne agreed to wear the English jersey for a day if England won and Ganguly agreed to wear a Australian one if the opposite happened.
Warne also said that “One more thing. If Australia win, you will wear an Australia shirt for day and if England win, I’ll wear an England shirt.”
The confident Dada knew what he was doing and agreed to the bet even while knowing that wearing the Australian jersey would hurt him big time.
