Shane Warne requests India to play Day-Night Test vs Australia, Sourav Ganguly responds after India register a thumping win against Bangladesh.

Despite its relative newness, Day Night tests have now been a thing in cricket for a few years already. However, India remained hesitant to take to the match type before Sourav Ganguly finally introduced it to Indian Fans.

Fans flocked to the Eden Gardens to witness history being made and the Indian Cricket team made sure that the fans would leave with their money’s worth as they made quick work out of the visiting Bangladesh side.

The Indian quicks bundled Bangladesh for 106 in the first Innings. Virat Kohli took over. His century help India post a 241-run lead. In response, the visitors fared slightly better but couldn’t stop India from romping to yet another innings victory.

2 days and 8 overs were all it took for India to win their first ever Day night test match and this has caught the attention of legendary leg spinner Shane Warne, who wants India to face Australia in a Day Night test when they face each other next year.

Shane Warner took to twitter to put forth his desire to see India clash in Day Night test match. He wrote:

“Congrats to you and @imVkohli on agreeing to play a day / night test. I hope there’s another one next summer in Adelaide when India tour Australia on@FoxCricket– Would be amazing buddy!”

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, who took the responsibility of making sure that the Day Night test would go without a hitch, gracefully replied to the Australian saying that it wasn’t a decision he could take on his own. However, he did assure Warne, that he would talk to everyone concerned.

“I am sure he has got a hint by what he has seen in this game but it’s a decision everyone has to take and let’s see how it goes,” Sourav replied while addressing the media after India’s win at Eden Gardens.
