In the form of gifts at his third annual event where Shaq becomes Santa! He sponsors the entire event and has been doing so for years before the actual event. Shaq’s story is nothing short of heartwarming.

Shaquille O’Neal has been giving away for 30 years
Before this, Shaq has never been one to shy away from giving away. He has donated a multitude of times, including hilarious instances where he racked up a huge bill of over 70,000 Dollars at Walmart.
The reason for that was he wanted to buy people a few things. Classic Shaq. But his donation towards East Point was for kids, each year, he turns into Shaq-a-Claus.
When he first was in the NBA, over 30 years ago, he learned that 15 million children in America don’t have parents. He decided to become Shaq-a-Claus, a fun take on a mythical character except that Shaq is very much real and he loves to give away gifts!

This isn’t the first act of kindness O’Neal has routinely helped people. He often credits his gratitude to his mother Lucille. She has often been the one to guide him and make him understand his privilege.
O’Neal has often boasted about his wealth but he does with humility. He knows he can talk about it because he has earned it and he routinely thinks good of his community.
The story of East Point kids getting gifts for Christmas through Shaq is just one of the hundreds. A true champion of the people.
