Shoaib Malik slams Ramiz Raja over deleted tweets controversy

Shoaib Malik slams Ramiz Raja: The veteran Pakistani all-rounder has once again indulged in online banter with the former Pakistani captain.

It seems that there is no stopping to the online banter between veteran Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik and former Pakistan captain Ramiz Raja.

It all began earlier this month with Raja stating in an interview that Malik and another veteran all-rounder in Mohammad Hafeez should “retire gracefully” from international cricket.

Both Malik (38) and Hafeez (39) had last played a T20I in January this year against Bangladesh at home. As far as the ODIs are concerned, the senior Pakistani players had last played during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

Responding to Raja’s interview, Malik took a dig at Raja on social media platform Twitter by saying that him, Hafeez and Raja should retire together. Malik’s tweet was then retweeted by Hafeez.

“Don’t need a tutorial from you…”

Soon enough, Raja had posted a series of tweets in which he asked Malik the facet from which he should retire. Furthermore, Raja bragged about him retiring from international cricket while being the captain of the Pakistani cricket team.

What followed was a glitch on the social media platform which saw Rameez’s tweets regarding Malik and Hafeez getting deleted. Raja then took on the same platform and appeared to accuse Malik’s manager of “mysteriously removing” the tweets.

While the same happened more than a fortnight ago, Malik slammed Raja regarding attacking his and his manager’s “personal credibility”. In reply, Raja claimed that the matter is solved and that Malik should “relax” and “stay safe”.
