“Sh*t That Dennis Rodman Did Was Very Thought Out”: Byron Scott Claims $500,000 Worth Bulls Legend’s Every Move Was ‘Calculated’
Over the years, the NBA has played home to many colorful personalities. However, there have been none more colorful than Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman.
Rodman, fondly referred to as the Worm is greatly remembered for his on-court defensive abilities. But, more than his basketball skills, he was and is notorious for his antics off the court.
From his many hairstyles, his fling with Madonna, and his decision to marry himself. Many believed that Dennis’ decisions were ill-conceived. However, Byron Scott claims they were all planned and thought out beforehand.
Byron Scott claims intelligent Dennis Rodman pre-planned all his infamous antics
His accomplishments on the court aside, Dennis Rodman’s career and life are mostly highlighted by his notorious off-the-court actions. The Worm has made the news on several occasions, more often than not for all the wrong reasons.
Given some of the things he has done, like marrying himself and dating Madonna, it is generally believed that these antics were spur of the moment. However, three-time NBA Champion, Byron Scott claimed on his podcast that Rodman is an incredibly intelligent individual who preconceived most of his noteworthy stunts.
“You know what? A lot of people don’t understand this about Dennis Rodman. I’ve done a couple of signings with him. As a matter of fact, it was me, Dennis, and D Fisher. A lot of people don’t realize. The thing about Dennis Rodman is. A lot of the sh*t he did back in the day was very thought out. Pre-planned and calculated. Dennis is an extremely intelligent person. Marrying himself, doing the sh*t with Madonna, all that sh*t. People were like, “Oh! That boy crazy!”. No, Dennis wasn’t crazy. I sit there and talk to him for two hours, just signing sh*t. This boy wasn’t crazy. He’s smart as hell!”
It is true, some of The Worm’s antics are just a bit out there to be last-minute decisions. But, while he may be intelligent, it certainly did not reflect in the way he spent his money.
Despite being intelligent, Rodman was not very good at saving up money
Byron Scott may be right. Dennis Rodman is an intelligent man when it comes to PR stunts. However, the same cannot be said about his financial management.
Despite earning close to $27 million over the course of his 12-year NBA career, Rodman now finds himself with a net worth of just $500,000. This is down to his exuberant spending and poor decision-making.
He has fallen on hard times. But, given his personality and some of the more recent updates regarding his life, he seems to be back on the right path.
