Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is adopting the methods of Sir Alex Ferguson.

Manchester United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could not have asked for a better start to his managerial reign at Old Trafford. Since the Norwegian has taken over the club, the Red Devils have decided to maintain a 100% win record, registering four wins out of four games.

Having played for more than eleven years under the guidance of Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, Solskjaer is wasting no time in adopting his methods. In fact, he revealed that he has been in touch with his former manager upon his arrival at Old Trafford last month.

Speaking to the media, Solskjaer said “I have been in touch with the gaffer quite a bit. Well, he signed me 22 years ago, so he is the big part of course.

“I don’t know what input he had but when I got the call, of course, I texted the boss.

“I have been in touch with him and I am going to enjoy a nice cup of tea back at his house to sit down and discuss a few ideas.”

Majority of the squad including Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, and Eric Bailly were struggling to do well under Mourinho. When the results started to falter, and in the meanwhile players started to become a bit more restless, the board decided to show the exit door for the Portuguese International.

Former players consisting of Paul Scholes, Rio Ferdinand, and Ryan Giggs have not entered the training group when Mourinho was the manager. However, with Solskjaer at the helm, Sir Alex Ferguson and Ryan Giggs have been to Carrington Training Complex to help out the new manager.

According to various sources, it is understood that Sir Alex Ferguson would conduct a “quiz” to test player’s knowledge which is as part of the session after the drills.

The Scottish great usually conducts quiz to increase the morale of the whole camp and regain confidence whenever his team needs to.

As the newspapers say, players would leave after the training session to their respective rooms, but things have changed under the new manager. When Mourinho left, several players’ were happy again and started to play football at their best.

“The difference in the mood around Carrington is like night and day since Ole game in.

“We’ve even seen Ryan Giggs pay us a visit, who seemed to keep his distance when he left and Mourinho was here.

“Ole really wants the players to stick together and doesn’t want them in their hotel rooms playing on their tablets or on social media.

“Mike Phelan is back and he and Sir Alex used to love quiz night and were fiercely competitive.

“So the lads have heard they need to start brushing up on their general knowledge. It sounds just the job.”

The whole team has started to play football with attacking intent and win games on their own. There are defensive fatalities, but they will face a real test against Tottenham Hotspur on January 13 at Wembley Stadium.

The Red Devils will take on Reading in the FA Cup followed by the game against Mauricio Pochettino’s side on next Sunday.
