The World Cup is around the corner and we start off with the warm-ups which gives the teams a chance to play all 15 men and figure out their perfect team combination. The second warm-up game between Sri Lanka and South Africa will be played at Cardiff. With all 15 players in the fray, let us try and pick the best possible Dream11 team for this match.
Note : Dream11 has changed it’s team combination rules. We can now select 1-4 wicket-keepers, 3-6 batsmen, 1-4 all-rounders and 3-6 bowlers. This gives us some space to try out newer and better combinations for our team.

SL vs SA Dream 11 Prediction
Bowlers for SL vs SA Dream 11
I have gone in with 3 bowlers in this match. The pitches in the UK have been pretty flat offering little or no assistance to the bowlers. Hence, I go for impact bowlers who may go for a few runs but would get me wickets. Kagiso Rabada is my first pick here. Rabada is in the form of his life having had a brilliant IPL and an enviable few years in international cricket. He is especially effective at the death where his yorkers and variations get him many wickets.
Imran Tahir, my next bowler, is also enjoying his bowling. In what will be his last World Cup, Tahir will look to keep picking wickets and celebrate like only he can. Tahir won the Purple Cap in the IPL and has been looking very dangerous. Suranga Lakmal is my only Sri Lankan bowler.

Lakmal has had some great bowling spells where in he has knocked over the best of batsmen. Lakmal also picks a lot of wickets and hence, I go with him.
All-rounder for SL vs SA Dream 11
I have just picked one all-rounder for this match. This is mainly due to the fact that specialist batsmen and bowlers get more opportunities in a warm-up match as compared to all-rounders who sometimes do not get to bat up the order or bowl their full quota of 10 overs.
Dhananjaya de Silva walks into my team as an in-form all-rounder who bowls many wicket-taking overs and plays an important role down the order with the bat as a finisher.
Wicket-keepers for SL vs SA Dream 11
With the new change in rules, I finally do not have to make tough decisions about choosing 1 wicket-keeper always even if there are more than 1 deserving players. With the relaxation in the rules, I have gone in with as many as 3 wicket-keepers for this match. Quinton de Kock is my first obvious pick.
He will also be my captain. He showed signs of terrific form in the IPL and the Sri Lanka series before that where he ended up being the Man of the Tournament. He will open the innings and have plenty of opportunities to asset himself especially on the flat tracks in the powerplay overs.
The 2 Sri Lankan keepers are also in my team. Kusal Perera and Kusal Mendis have both been extremely good with the bat and hold the key to the Sri Lankan middle order. Perera, in particular, makes a lot of impact when he comes in at No. 3. Kusal Mendis plays a vital role at No. 5 where he has to face the middle overs and build partnerships. Bring them both in as they should both be scoring quite a few runs here.
Batsmen for SL vs SA Dream 11
South African skipper Faf du Plessis is one of the best batsmen in the world. He is extremely dependable and bats in the top order as well. He can score some big knocks at ease and I pick him in my team. His dependability makes Faf my vice captain. Hashim Amla has been a great servant of South African cricket over the years.
Amla is also one of the best batsmen currently and deserves to be in my team due to his sheer talent and ability. Aiden Markram is also in my team as he is a bright talent. Markram will probably bat in the middle order and get some runs in the bank to make a strong case for his selection on the final playing XI. Sri Lankan Angelo Mathews makes it to my team.
He is a huge player for Sri Lanka and one of the best batsmen in the Sri Lankan team. Mathews is experienced and depending. Bring him in now!
Happy team picking!
